The Pa5X is the new flagship of KORG’s internationally renowned Pa Series that will set a new standard in arranger keyboards. The Pa5X features state-of-the-art technology driving the most important part of any musical instrument: a stunning rich sound never before available in any other keyboard! Three models are available: Pa5X-61, Pa5X-76, and Pa5X-88.

The Pa5X has been developed from the ground up, completely overhauling our existing designs and concepts. Thanks to its new technologies, we will offer future updates with powerful new features and rich, musically inspiring resources such as new Styles, Sounds, Keyboard Sets and more.

Driving the Pa5X is a new sequencer technology that, amongst other things, allows users to play two Styles at the same time and even in sync. The Pa5X is the only instrument on the market able to play two Styles at the same time. The musical experience of using two Styles in parallel is an inspiring way of exploring new directions in music-making.

A newly developed mixer section with an additional strip display for all important values replaces the older, now obsolete mode concept. The new panel and graphical user interface design make the stunning sound of the Pa5X easily accessible and useful for live performers, home musicians and everybody who wants more.

New richness of sound

The Pa5X offers a huge amount of high-quality PCM sounds across different music genres. Besides a huge number of new and unique sounds, the most important basics of music-making such as strings, brass, woodwind and other acoustic sounds have been produced especially for the Pa5X. Many of the new sounds are inspired by, and come from, the KORG Kronos, Nautilus, and SV-2.

With a polyphony of up to 160 voices and up to 24 stereo oscillators for each sound, your performances can be unlimited.

DNC (Defined Nuance Control) utilizes high-quality sounds and performance characteristics to allow acoustic instrument articulations for realistic expressiveness. The Pa5X now offers 3 DNC sound controllers!

The new Styles, Keyboard Sets, Chord Sequences, Pads, and SongBook entries have been renewed to showcase the musical power of the Pa5X.For even faster access there are now 11 Keyboard-Set favorite buttons.

A new “Finalizer” & “Master EQ” for Styles and Songs allow you to fine-tune and shape the sound of each Style and Song to your tastes.

Smooth Sound Transition” (SST) helps to avoid jarring disruptions when changing between Keyboard Sets, Styles or Songs. It allows the previous sound and its effects to ring out naturally as you play the newly selected sound. You can even continue to hold notes on the old sound (on the keyboard or with the sustain pedal) as you play the new sound.

Insert effect power: There are two sequencers that can play simultaneously and 20 insert effects for the two players (10 each), 3 insert effects for each Keyboard Set.

Master effect power: 6 master effects for the two players (3 each), 3 master effects for each Keyboard Set.

Real drum sounds and performance:

The new drumkits highlight the new “Round Robin” feature for realistic drum performances. Each note uses a different sample to enhance the drum realism and this is further enhanced when hitting the same note repeatedly but generating a slightly different sound.

Innovative features The new Pa5X sequencer is able to play two Styles, MIDI files or MP3 files simultaneously and in any combination. There is a powerful new mixer section that features an additional strip display and 9 assignable switches to help easily understand the current situation of your mix.

The new Matrix section with 16 pads is a powerful feature that can be used to play pads or mute/unmute tracks and much more.

The completely renewed Drawbar Organ in Pa5X now offers the rotary and amp effects found in legendary organs such as the Vox Continental stage keyboard and the KORG CX-3 organ. A dedicated DWB panel button shows the drawbar section quickly and clearly.

Most of the LEDs are RGB-colored providing a clear and detailed picture at all times.

All three models (61, 76 and 88) have a micro-SD card capability. On the back of the instrument, you will find a screwable flap behind which the microSD card slot is located. The micro-SD card will substitute the internal HD and should be a SDHC or SDXC card with a maximum capacity of 1 TB (FAT32). Furthermore, all models provide three USB 3.0 connectors.

A professional semi-weighted keybed is used for the 61 key and 76 key Pa5X while the 88 model features a deluxe hammer weighted action keybed and all with aftertouch!

A new vocal processor, from Shift Audio, provides four high-quality harmony voices, plus four doubling voices along with a newly designed Auto pitch feature.

The 8” tiltable high resolution (800x600) Touchscreen display showcases the new graphical user interface and features new high-quality graphics in all areas. The HDMI output on the rear panel provides a mirror of the display or can be selected to only display the lyrics coming from songs or txt files.

The front panel has also been designed. The new Matrix and Mixer sections feature a dedicated strip display and assignable buttons. The panel, the new display, and the RGB LEDs coordinate seamlessly. The black anodized aluminum and dark brown wooden side panels combine beautifully to clearly display the high value of the Pa5X. Flexible connections.
